Welcome to INSTONIANS YOUTH RUGBY BELFAST

Our thriving Youth section is for boys aged 13 to 18. If you are interested in joining our club please refer to your age group for contact details of the coach or team manager. Our training times are below. Instonians youth rugby is an active social club located at Shaw’s bridge Sports Association. Bear in mind that the age group cut off point is the same as the school year, midnight 31st August.

We are very proud of our young players and all of our committed volunteers that coach, manage and provide first aid care when needed. With our new Director of Rugby Clem Boyd he is keen that everyone develops and excels to their full potential and more.

Our youth teams will continue to be fully inclusive providing match time for everyone and therefore giving all the opportunity to improve and develop. Our coaches are also encouraged and supported by the club to develop their skills as coaches by attending Continuous Professional Development courses.

I am keen to ensure that our players, coaches, parents, spectators and volunteers uphold the core values of rugby union, Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. These values stand our young people in good stead both on the pitch and off the rugby pitch.
 
Instotians youth rugby Belfast aim is to thrive in terms of player numbers through new recruitment / retention and for them to have fun. We play to win but not at all costs and when we win  Instonians do it with dignity and when we lose Instonians do it with grace.

Finally I will be encouraging all our teams (including parents) to get together in social events and to tour – a rugby tradition that needs to be maintained. We try to encourage all our current youth players is to bring along a friend for a free taster session.
